It was founded by Abhishek Daga and Chitra Daga in April, 2009. It offers quality services in facilitating unconventional and experiential activities. The online portal Thrillophilia.com was launched in August, 2009. The company has grown at the rate of 200% per year. Thrillophilia plans and provides adventure and activity trips for corporate houses, travelers and individuals throughout the country. Thrillophilia.com is at the gate of developing a niche activity segment in the travel industry with more than 400 activity based-tours and 1000 off-beat travel experiences. Abhishek and Chitra played part time entrepreneurs, starting the venture with a capital to Rs 5 lakh. The money went into building the website and hiring two people, but it took them some time to figure out their target market. The duo started by focusing on direct customers, offering them a number of options across the country through digital marketing. However, this was time-consuming and had a long gestation period for revenue generation. So they decided to turn to corporate clients and added outdoor activities as team-building exercises. In November 2009, they landed their first big client,Wipro.Thrillophilia has been recognized by Manthan South East Asia Awards for contributing digitally to the 2-Travel and Tourism industry. Chitra Gurnani Daga, Co-founder and CEO of Thrillophilia, was selected as the speaker from India on the panel discussion for eco-tourism at APECO Malaysia held last year. Young Turks on CNBC and Going Solo on CNN IBN are two TV shows that represented the entrepreneurs and their story. In 2012, Thrillophilia also won the ‘Power of ideas’ at IIM-Ahmedabad and the BizQuest held jointly by TIE and ISB.I am currently working at Thrillophilia, Jaipur. There are more than 60 employees here, 22 in Sales department, 20 in Marketing and around 20 in others areas. Everyday timings are 10:30 AM to 7-7:30 PM. My current supervisor is Himani Gaur who is Digital Marketing Manager.
