Have “The number of Latinos in the United

Have you ever wondered how this immigrant rant started? In the late 19th century the United States bought the west coast in which used to be parts of Mexico. Mexicans were given US citizenship and were going to be treated right. But in the 20th century has been a unfortunate and misunderstood event for the Chicano (Chicano or Chicana is a chosen identity of some Mexican Americans in the United States. … The term became widely used during the Chicano Movement by Mexican Americans to express pride in a shared cultural, ethnic and community identity). This is because the US had the Great Depression, new immigration laws  discrimination etc. Today, Chicanos and immigration live in a unfortunate time in the us because of how they are considered bad people, poor and are useless and that has caused many problems for everyone living in the us. Has Chicano history affected Immigration in a negative way? The Chicano History has affected immigration in a negative way because of political issues, population, and discrimination. Politics in the us discusses a lot in finding solutions to control immigration. According to Fair Us Organization They say, “The fact is increasingly clear that Latinos, the majority of whom are Mexican nationals and Mexican ethnics, are rapidly becoming a major political force in the U.S. Southwest.” Immigration has been a big issue today in politics even for the Chicanos in the mid 20th century. There was  so many immigrants in the us that it had  attracted many politicians attention and soon immigrants were deported more often than before. According to The New York Times they say  “A June 2002 Zogby poll of Mexicans found that a substantial majority of Mexican citizens believe that southwestern America is rightfully the territory of Mexico and that Mexicans do not need the permission of the U.S. to enter.” They are creating more obstacles for immigrants so that they wont come into the united states.Immigration population in the us has been a issue ever since the 1950s. Saens states, “The number of Latinos in the United States more than doubled between 1980 and 2000, accounting for 40 percent of the growth in the country’s population during that period.” Immigration has been huge in the late 90s and early 2000s because of how there has been need of jobs and money and so many Mexicans come in to receive a great opportunity. Fair Organization states, “Between 1980-2000 the number of Census respondents in Nevada identifying themselves as a Mexican national/ethnic increased by 1,179 percent and those identifying themselves as Hispanic by 631 percent while the non-Hispanic population increased by 115 percent.” Nevada has been a ” go to state” because of how it’s closer to California. California used to hire a bunch of chicanos farmers  in the 1970s and at that time lived cesar Chavez who was a great activist who was against unfair salaries.Immigrants face a lot of discrimination while living in US and believe Igor not, social media is literally the worst place tobe discriminated at. Fair Organization asserts, “Latinos in the United States also increasingly learn the Mexican view of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and, if they go to college, they are likely to be indoctrinated about the Latino “Aztlan” heritage.” Chicanos in the us are identified by where they are from are who they are, considering students come to college to learn rather than being criticized. (Chicanos are very skilled by the way). The New York Times states that , “In 2014, the Obama administration issued guidelines for deporting unauthorized immigrants that placed the highest priority on gang members, felons and those who posed security threats. A goal was to concentrate limited resources on the most serious cases, New York Times app).”  A lot of chicanos are now getting deported because of their illegal statuses. Even those who have never been to Mexico and now they are now deporteThe Chicano History has affected immigration in a negative way because of political issues, population, and discrimination. The Latino population in the United States has decreased, yet it is the highest percentage of the  people in the U.S. Immigration is a major problem to multiple Chicano families political discussion, population, and especially discrimination.
