TNB has two main categories of customers, called Large Power Consumer (LPC) and
Ordinary Power Consumer (OPC). The Large Power Consumer (LPC) is the type of

customers that subscribe the three phases meter category such as factories, banks,
buildings and others while the Ordinary Power Consumer (OPC) is the domestic
customers with meter category less than three phases such as houses. The number of
Large Power Consumers (LPC) is about 60,000 customers and 8,000,000 million for
Ordinary Power Consumers (OPC).

One of the primary systems in TNB is TNB billing system named Enhanced Customers
Information Billing System (eCIBS) that was implemented in 2005. Previously the
system was called as Customers Information Billing System (CIBS) that was
implemented in 1995, but later the system was re-implemented to the second version of
system to suit TNB?s operations demand and called as Enhanced Customers Information
Billing System (eCIBS). eCIBS billing system is currently used by all TNB staff
nationwide in their daily operations until now. eCIBS system functions and features is to
consolidate, manage, data storing purposes, reporting, providing output to internal or
external users, retrieve large volumes of information, organize information disnation
within its internal business operation and subsequently to its customers.
